Even though the article did not go into television, i think that television helps alt. i know personally that a lot of the stuff and facts that i remember and use daily i learned while watching television. whether i was watching the news or a comedy or even the discover channel (which does not happened to often).

Candice, I agree that although the television is not mentioned, it is a source of popular culture. Animal Planet is my favorite "learning" channel, not to be a loser or anything!
